Why Moot?

Mooting is an oral advocacy competition in which students at the undergraduate level gather to prove their legal knowledge and effective presentation style. This highly competitive tournament allows students who are pursuing a career in law to gain practice and feedback from law professionals, while performing a moot. This type of competition occurs in the Canadian law school curriculum, and is treated as a great foot-in-the-door for legal presentation. For more information on what to expect when mooting, please check out our introductory moot guide!
