What is the Gryph Cup?

The Gryph Cup is an undergraduate mooting tournament that will be hosted at the University of Guelph on September 29th-30th 2018. The tournament is open to all universities and colleges across Canada, and provides an opportunity for students who have an interest in pursuing a legal education to gain advocacy experience, enhance their legal research and writing skills, meet new people from other post-secondary institutes, and create meaningful connections with legal professionals. Competitors will compete in front of esteemed legal professions (lawyers, judges, paralegals, law students) in teams of two against other schools' teams.

Our History

This is the first mooting tournament held by the University of Guelph Pre-Law Society! It was founded by Pre-Law Society members Tait De St Croix and Isabelle Currie, who were the Academic Affairs and Mooting executives for the 2017/2018 school year. We look forward to a successful first tournament, and we hope to establish a history over the years.

Meet our Team

The Gryph Cup planning committee is comprised of 8 University of Guelph students who are all members of the Pre-Law Society.
